Each boat will be allowed one set of stairs or a storage box
of reasonable size with a maximum capacity of 20 cubic feet.

All hoses and electrical wires
will be stored away properly when not in use.
Boat owners are responsible for the cleanliness and tidiness
of their float space areas.
If a water hose is left attached to a vessel, the water
faucet must be turned off if the vessel is left unattended.
Any attachments to or deviations of the water system will
only be made after prior approval has been received from the Fleet
Captain.

Children under 12 years old
are not allowed on the pier or the floats unless they are wearing a
personal flotation device.
An adult must supervise children under 14 years old at all
times.
5.
Dogs will
ALWAYS be on a leash or restrained on their boats.
6.
Boats will
NEVER be left unattended at the gas dock.
Boats must fuel up at the gas dock and not from an adjacent
slip.
7.
Absolutely no fuel can be
transported over the pier and docks for personal filling of fuel
tanks. The only
containers that are allowed will be O.E.M. closed containers for use
in rubber rafts and smaller craft.
If you need fuel please move your boat to the gas dock and
purchase it there.
8.
All connections to the float
electrical system must have a three-wire system with a non-current
carrying ground, properly grounded in the boat.
No 2-wire to 3-wire electrical adaptation will be approved.
Each vessel will be allowed only one hook-up unless prior
approval for an additional wire has been received from the Fleet
Captain. Each boat owner
will pay the scheduled club electrical fee for each wire from the
dock to his vessel.
9.
Cooking will be allowed only
on board the boats and not on the docks.
Cooking devices must be propane type, Matchlight briquettes
or electric. No starting
fluid may be used. The
device must be secured to the owner’s boat and a fire extinguisher
must be within easy reach.
No cooking may be used within 6 feet of any gasoline vent.
No cooking device will be left unattended.
10.
Overboard discharge of oil, gasoline or the waste holding tank is
prohibited.
11.
Each boat owner will insure that any damages done by him or by his
boat will be repaired immediately.
Owners will be financially responsible for any damage done by
them to floats or other vessels.
Each boat owner will furnish the Fleet Captain with a copy of
his insurance policy and registration or documentation papers
before his boat is docked
for the 2010 season.
12.
All tenders and dinghies will be secured either in the owner’s slip
or on his boat and will not block any other slip in any way.
13.
No tender or dinghy shall be left in the water unattended without
the permission of the Fleet Captain.
Tenders and dinghies will be operated at a speed of
not more than 5 miles per
hour when in the vicinity of the dockage area and beach.
14.
A boat owner may tie his boat on the outside of the Courtesy Dock
for a maximum period of 12 hours.
Any extension of this period will be allowed only with the
permission of the Fleet Captain.
The courtesy dock is occupied for 2010, check with the
Fleet Captain.
15.
Slip assignments for 2010 will be made in accordance with and in
respect to the size restrictive float plan approved by the Board of
Trustees and the general membership.
16.
If a vessel has vacated its slip for an extended period, or if a
boat owner has not filled his slip for an extended period, the Fleet
Captain may assign that slip to another vessel until the permanent
assignee returns. An
extended period shall be considered 5 days unless a mutual agreement
is reached between the slip occupant and the Fleet Captain for its
use for a period of less than 5 days.
In all cases the Fleet Captain will insure that the slip is
available upon the return of the permanently assigned vessel.
Please advise the Fleet Captain of any extended periods.
17.
A club member who is not already paying dockage fees to the club,
and who is assigned a slip as stated in paragraph 15, will be
charged $10.00 per day after the first 12 hours of his stay.
It will be the responsibility of this member to pay all
dockage fees to the Fleet Captain.
18.
Transient boats may tie up at the Point of Pines Yacht Club during
the day for a maximum period of 8 hours at no charge.
If the boat is staying for more than 8 hours a rate of $1.00
per foot per day will be charged for the entire stay.
Transient boats must leave after 3 days unless prior
arrangements have been made with the Fleet Captain.
All visiting boaters will report to the Fleet Captain or his
assistants upon arrival at the club and prior to leaving their boats
unattended. All dockage
fees will be collected before the boat leaves the club.
The Fleet Captain will assign the slip to be occupied.
19.
No new dock guard will be installed on any float unless the Fleet
Captain approves it.
Dock guard will be rubber molding type and secured by roofing nails.
No fire hose or non-approved dock guard will be allowed.
20.
In the event of a hurricane or other adverse weather conditions, the
Fleet Captain, in conjunction with the Commodore, may require slip
occupants to remove their vessels from the Point of Pines Yacht
Club. The Fleet Captain
will attempt to notify members of any decision that is made;
however, when severe weather is forecast, members should
periodically check their boats and stay in communication with the
club. The Fleet Captain
will determine when it is safe to return all vessels to their slips.
21.
A copy of the vessel’s boat insurance, registration, and or
documentation must be given each year before the vessel is docked
for the season.
22.
Any deviation from these float rules will be made only with the
express permission of the Fleet Captain.
